For all these 5 years living in NY, I've been fascinated by the broken abandoned umbrellas lying around the city after a rainy day (or a stormy one, like yesterday :) ). It's amazing how much character they have, how dramatic they are, and how different they all look. Meant to protect people, they failed and therefore are left without a home. Smashed, ripped, turned inside out... So sad.
Today was a perfect day to spend outside, but I had a job, no camera, and no time for taking pictures. This is the only one I took with my phone. Posting this picture, hoping it'll finally push me forward, and I'll start working on this project.
