AFTER THE STORM

How patiently this old shabby gent was waiting for his lady.. Not saying a word, not even looking at anyone passing by. He looked almost like he wasn't even waiting for anybody!! I guess this is what life had taught him. I waited there for a while, just to see how they would meet, but she never came, and I had to run to school. I bet she's beautiful.

Suicide on Avenue M, but no one seems to care. It's december.

Sitting on the ground, leaning on the old payphone, she was crying in the middle of the night. The trains would pass by, people would run to their homes, and the wind could not blow those tears away. It seemed to me they were to stay there forever.

LETTERPRESS WORKSHOP AT SVA

I visited this letterpress workshop as an assignment at my student_reporter job at SVA. Dikko Faust is a hand typograher and a letterpress printer who runs Purgatory Pie Press with his wife, Esther K. Smith, who wrote this great book, which I (and I'm sure many of graphic design students) own: HOW TO MAKE BOOKS

They have exhibited internationally, including shows at Smith College, Harvard University, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Metropolitan Museum Libraries. Collections holding their work include the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Tate, the Whitney, and the New York Public Library.

So inspiring!!!
